SPARO is an AI-powered combat sports video analysis platform operated by SPARO TECHNOLOGIES LTD, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our services at events or through our website. For any privacy questions, contact us at contact.sparo@sparo.pro.

2. What data we collect

When our staff register you as a fighter at an event booth, or when you interact with our platform, we may collect:

  • Registration data: your name, chosen nickname and email address, taken by our staff at the event booth.
  • Fighter profile: your Sparo Score, metric values, archetype, and fighter number.
  • Avatar photo: if you choose to upload or take a profile photo (optional).
  • Video footage: fight clips submitted for AI analysis at event booths.
  • Contact form data: name and email if you reach out through our website.

3. Legal basis and how we use your data

  • Consent: you provide your data voluntarily when registering at the booth. Newsletter communications are opt-in only.
  • Legitimate interest: displaying leaderboard results and fighter cards (nickname, fighter number, score, archetype and metric values) publicly on the event leaderboard and card pages, and responding to contact form submissions.
  • Contract / service delivery: generating your fighter card, score and leaderboard position. Your email address is never shown on the site.

4. Data storage, security and transfers

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and access controls. Data is processed in the cloud and may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country; we rely on the safeguards provided by our providers. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide the service. Event leaderboard data may be retained for promotional purposes. You can request deletion at any time.

7. Browser storage

We do not use cookies, and there is no login. The leaderboard site stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no localStorage, no session data. See our Cookie & Storage Policy for details.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
